T&R Tooling History

T&R Tooling was born out of necessity in 2006 when Tom & Ronney, both found themselves with an overflow of work they met up one Saturday morning for breakfast in the small town of Krum, TX. With an “all-in” handshake, the two started T&R Tooling. Tom and Ronney had learned from some of the best tool makers in the business and became well known for their own skills in mold making and design.

In 2007 T&R Tooling had outgrown the backyard shop and moved to a building in Krum. The demand caused them to grow the shop with personnel and machines.

They decided they wanted in on the molding business. They purchased two molding machines and quickly realized a third would be needed. The shop with all its machining equipment, fabrication and now molding machines had the building in Krum, that once felt so large, bulging at the seams.

T&R Tooling continued to gain injection molding part production. In 2016, Tom and Ronney purchased land and built a new plant in Valley View, TX.
In the years following, the plant in Valley View was expanded to over 21,600 square feet.

While all the growing and expanding was happening, Tom became ill. He did not, however, let his illness affect his enthusiasm for T&R Tooling. Tom and Ronney continued to work hard towards the goal of making T&R Tooling a trusted and prosperous company. Sadly, Tom passed away on February 10, 2023. Tom was well liked and respected and is, and always will be, missed.

Since Tom’s passing, T&R Tooling has continued to grow. Our plant now has 14 molding machines, 8 machining centers, and an assembly department. The new addition has added 17,500 square feet to the existing Valley View plant. We are excited about the growth and what the additional space will allow.

T&R Tooling has also begun to transition to a woman owned, family business. Ronney’s wife, Annette, and daughter, Jennifer, have taken over critical roles, helping to strengthen the mission & core values of the business. The transition will not affect the mission or core values of the business. T&R Tooling continues to grow and seek opportunities with new customers.
